Frontier Cooperative (Feed Division) and Vering's Feed Service are proud to announce the merger of the two companies commencing on May 1st, 2007.  The purpose of the feed merger is to increase our efficiency, making us more competitive in the feed industry.  All of our patrons are proud of both companies, and what they represent.  This opportunity will establish the cornerstone for our success together in the feed business.

Not only will Central Plains Milling benefit from efficiency, we are taking the best tools of the two companies, and using them to better serve our customers.  Tools such as Nutrition, Management, Marketing, and Record keeping, will be available to customers who can benefit from those services.  Experience is a large factor in this business, and compared to any other company out there CPM's employees are involved in the livestock business, and know how important their impact can be on your bottom line.  Our Mission:

Central Plain Milling will become a partner, by providing high quality products and services, ensuring your success in the Livestock Industry.

On May 1st you may not notice too many changes; both mills will be running together.  In the beginning we will be miling some feed at Bellwood that would normally be milled at Howells.  If your feed would come from a different mill we would meet with you, and explain the reasons for the change.  Currently we do not see too many changes with the Frontier clientele.  In the future the Bellwood mill will be used more, due to increasing demand for swine feed throughout the summer and fall.

Also on May 1st CPM will begin a construction project for a new feed mill in Howells.  The mill will have a capacity of 400 tons per day, and at the end of construction, CPM will be processing more than 300 tons per day.  By constructing this mill CPM will be able to offer a more flexible diet selection to its patrons.  The mill will be constructed with the latest technology in the feed industry, and will be capable of least cost formulation for customers with those interests.

Central Plains Milling is happy to have you as a customer, and please don't hesitate to call with questions.
