Frontier Coop recently held its third annual Fuel & Oil Seminar at the David City-Yanka Oil Facility. Approximately 70 patrons and Frontier staff members attended and enjoyed a meal catered by CK Katering. The goal of the informational meeting each year is to update customers about the new developments within the Frontier Energy Department. The opening presentation was given by BJ Matulka, who recently accepted a position as Frontier’s Energy Sales Specialist.
Representatives from CHS were present to discuss Cenex fuel and lubricants. Tom Lancaster, CHS District Manager of Energy Sales presented about fuel refineries, the difference between X Grade and D Grade fuels, and talked about the pipelines and how fuel is transferred to terminals.
The following presentation was given by Marv Razor, CHS Lubricants District Manager. Razor discussed Cenex lubricants, the warranty offerings, and the payouts that Cenex has done for warranty customers.
The final guest speaker was Hoon Ge, consultant for Meg Corp and the Nebraska Soybean Board. His discussion included a brief history of bio diesel, what makes up bio diesel, and the benefits of it.
Frontier Coop Energy Department Manager Randy Birchem finished out the meeting by introducing the fuel, oil, and LP employees. The meeting provided the opportunity to visit with customers and inform them of the products and services offered by Frontier Energy.
