As an IT Intern at Frontier Cooperative, an agricultural cooperative dedicated to supporting farmers and rural communities, you will play a vital role in supporting the daily operations of our IT department. This internship is designed to provide you with broad exposure to various aspects of information technology, offering a strong foundation for a future career in the field. You will work closely with experienced IT professionals and gain hands-on experience in troubleshooting, system maintenance, user support, and project implementation. You’ll also have the opportunity to learn how technology supports agricultural operations, from grain management systems to precision farming tools and cooperative-wide communication platforms. This role is ideal for someone who is eager to learn, enjoys problem-solving, and is comfortable working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. You’ll be involved in both routine support tasks and special projects that contribute to the efficiency and security of our IT infrastructure.

- Currently pursuing a degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field
- Basic understanding of computer hardware, operating systems (Windows/macOS), and networking
- Familiarity with Microsoft 365 or similar productivity tools
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Eagerness to learn and take on new challenges
- Progressive mindset toward ag technology and the advancement of agriculture
- Organizational skills, multi-tasking skills, ability to collaborate with a team, as well as work on projects solo
- Attention to detail and ability to take detailed notes
- Excellent communication skills (writing, polished verbal communication skills)
- A willingness to spend time learning about the cooperative system and each of the business units of Frontier Cooperative
- Flexibility to work outside of regular office hours if necessary or when possible
- The ability to work in a professional office environment
- Valid Driver’s License and ability to travel within our business footprint
- Ability to adjust to multiple demands, shifting priorities, ambiguity, adversity, and constant change
